Here's the Macaroni interview with local mom Amanda:
~ How many children? What are their ages?
My awesome son, Jackson, is 4 and my spunky daughter, Henley, is 2.
~ Besides being a super hero (aka mommy), what else do you do?
Work: I work at the hospital as a breastfeeding peer counselor (aka Breastfeeding Cheerleader). My job is to encourage, educate, and support moms with breastfeeding. I facilitate the Breastfeeding Support Group throughout the month. My groups are held at Kent Genral on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 a.m. and at Milford Memorial on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Moms and babies are encouraged to come and hang out with other breastfeeding mamas.
Volunteer: I am a volunteer for the Breastfeeding Coalition of Delaware, I coordinate the local “Best for Babes Miracle Milk Stroll” in Dover, and set up crafts for my amazing MOPS group at Wyoming United Methodist Church.
Play: I love paint nights, reading, binge watching TV with my husband, wine, and dining out.
~ Where do you live?
Just built our dream home in Clayton next to my grandparents!
~ Favorite local family activities or events?
Mac Kid has been a life saver for me for planning family activities! We love going to the beach and just being outside. I am looking forward to the Dover Farmers’ Market and Mini Masters at Biggs!
~ Greatest successes of motherhood?
Surviving and enjoying it!
~ Greatest challenge in motherhood? How did you overcome this challenge?
It's a hard job! I think just coming to terms with something so amazing being so challenging and facing the reality that I would never be that “perfect” mom I was before I had kids! Also, finding the balance of me the woman, the mommy, and the wife.

I can't decide. Luckily my in-laws live in Philly so we can walk to date nights and explore but come back home to our acreage, pond, animal neighbors, etc.

I am so uncoordinated. Tubing?
~ Celebrity crush?
I am a Belieber.
